Daily logic games for Wordle players
Wordle made one small puzzle a day a habit. LogicSnack keeps the habit and swaps the letters for logic: ten grid puzzles, new every midnight, a few minutes each.
What is the same
- One puzzle a day. Each game gets a new board at midnight, your time, and everyone plays the same one.
- A few minutes. Most boards take two to ten minutes, short enough for a coffee or a bus ride.
- A result to share. Share sends your time and your hints, never the answer. A friend who opens the link gets the same board, with your time to beat.
- A streak. Your days in a row count up, and a rest day now and then covers a day you miss.
What is different
- No words. The puzzles use numbers, lines and shapes, so they play the same in every language and need no vocabulary.
- No guessing. In Wordle you guess and narrow it down. Here every board has exactly one answer, and you reach it step by step from the clues.
- Ten games, not one. When one is done, the next is waiting. Stop after one or play all ten.
- More when you want it. Missed a day? Every past puzzle is in the archive, and each game has 300 practice boards.
Where to start
- Starlit, if you like ruling options out until one is left. It is the Star Battle puzzle.
- Wayfold, if you want something quick: one path through the numbers, often done in two minutes.
- Rowcall, if you like a reveal at the end: the nonogram's clues paint a small picture.
- Rooftops, if you like Sudoku: each height once in every row and column, with clues around the edge.
- Lasso, if you want the hardest of the ten: one loop and long chains of reasoning.
How a day on LogicSnack works
At midnight your time, all ten games turn over. The home page shows the ten boards, the ones you have solved and your week so far. Monday to Thursday are easy, Friday is a little harder and the weekend boards are bigger.
Your progress stays in your browser, so there is nothing to sign up for. Solve all ten in one day and the day gets our seal.
Questions
Is LogicSnack made by The New York Times?
No. LogicSnack is an independent puzzle studio. We name Wordle only to compare how the games are played.
Can I play more than one puzzle a day?
Yes. There are ten new daily puzzles every day, every past daily stays in its game's archive, and each game has practice puzzles in several sizes that don't touch your streak.
Is LogicSnack free?
Yes. You play in the browser on a phone or a computer. There's no app to install and no account to make.
Are there word puzzles too?
No, all ten are logic puzzles on a grid. They sit well next to a daily word game: a different kind of thinking in the same few minutes.
