Printable nonograms

Rowcall is our daily nonogram, the puzzle also known as griddlers, hanjie or paint by numbers. Small grids, clear clues, and a heavier line every five tiles to help you count.

Per page

In the print dialog, choose A4 or Letter and turn off the browser's own headers and footers. Every sheet already carries the date and our address.

The last seven days

The rules

  1. Each number is a run of that many filled tiles side by side. A clue of 3 1 means a run of three filled tiles, then later a single filled tile.
  2. Runs keep their order: left to right for a row, top to bottom for a column.
  3. Runs in the same line never touch. At least one empty tile sits between them.
  4. Every other tile in the line stays empty. The puzzle is solved when every row and column matches its clue.

Every puzzle has exactly one answer, and you can always reach it by logic alone.

Solving on paper

Fill tiles in pencil and put a small × in tiles you know stay empty. Start with the longest clues: in a row of 10, a run of 7 always covers the middle four tiles.

Questions

Can I copy these for my class or club?

Yes. Print and photocopy as many as you like for your home, classroom, library or puzzle club, free of charge. Please keep the logicsnack.com line on each page, and don't sell the sheets.

Where are the answers?

On the last pages of each pack, numbered like the puzzles, 12 to a page. If you want to solve first, print the puzzle pages only: the print dialog lets you choose pages.

A4 or Letter?

Both. The sheets are sized to fit either paper, so you only choose it in the print dialog. Two puzzles per page gives bigger boards for young solvers; four saves paper.

Is there a PDF to download?

There's no file to download. Press Print and your browser lays out the pages. To keep a PDF, pick "Save as PDF" as the printer in the same dialog.

How often are there new Rowcall puzzles to print?

Every day. Rowcall gets a new daily puzzle at midnight, so the sheets for the last seven days change each morning. The practice pack stays the same.
