Printable Light Up puzzles
Lampwise is our daily light-up puzzle, also known as Akari. Black walls, white tiles and a pencil are all it takes: draw a circle for a lamp and a line for its light.
In the print dialog, choose A4 or Letter and turn off the browser's own headers and footers. Every sheet already carries the date and our address.

A lamp lights its row and column in all four directions, until the light hits a wall or the edge of the board.
Lamps never light each other. Two lamps can share a row only if a wall stands between them.
A number on a wall tells you exactly how many lamps touch it on its four sides. Corners don't count. A wall without a number can have any number of lamps next to it.
Every puzzle has exactly one answer, and you can always reach it by logic alone.
Solving on paper
Start at the 4s and the 0s: a 4 takes a lamp on every side, a 0 rules out all four. Draw a light line through every tile a lamp reaches, so the dark tiles left over stand out.
Questions
Can I copy these for my class or club?
Yes. Print and photocopy as many as you like for your home, classroom, library or puzzle club, free of charge. Please keep the logicsnack.com line on each page, and don't sell the sheets.
Where are the answers?
On the last pages of each pack, numbered like the puzzles, 12 to a page. If you want to solve first, print the puzzle pages only: the print dialog lets you choose pages.
A4 or Letter?
Both. The sheets are sized to fit either paper, so you only choose it in the print dialog. Two puzzles per page gives bigger boards for young solvers; four saves paper.
Is there a PDF to download?
There's no file to download. Press Print and your browser lays out the pages. To keep a PDF, pick "Save as PDF" as the printer in the same dialog.
How often are there new Lampwise puzzles to print?
Every day. Lampwise gets a new daily puzzle at midnight, so the sheets for the last seven days change each morning. The practice pack stays the same.
