Printable Star Battle puzzles

Starlit is our daily one-star Star Battle. Here every board is drawn for paper: the regions are outlined in heavy ink, so no colors are needed, and the answers come last.

Per page

In the print dialog, choose A4 or Letter and turn off the browser's own headers and footers. Every sheet already carries the date and our address.

The last seven days

Today's puzzle and the six before it, the same boards everyone plays online. The answers follow, except today's.

Practice pack: 24 puzzles

The rules

  1. One star in every row and one in every column.
  2. One star in every color. The thick dark lines show where each color ends.
  3. Stars never touch, not even corner to corner.

Every puzzle has exactly one answer, and you can always reach it by logic alone.

Solving on paper

Mark the tiles that can't hold a star with a small dot, and draw a star only when you're sure. A soft pencil and an eraser help on the 9×9 boards, where a region often gives up its star only late.

Questions

Can I copy these for my class or club?

Yes. Print and photocopy as many as you like for your home, classroom, library or puzzle club, free of charge. Please keep the logicsnack.com line on each page, and don't sell the sheets.

Where are the answers?

On the last pages of each pack, numbered like the puzzles, 12 to a page. If you want to solve first, print the puzzle pages only: the print dialog lets you choose pages.

A4 or Letter?

Both. The sheets are sized to fit either paper, so you only choose it in the print dialog. Two puzzles per page gives bigger boards for young solvers; four saves paper.

Is there a PDF to download?

There's no file to download. Press Print and your browser lays out the pages. To keep a PDF, pick "Save as PDF" as the printer in the same dialog.

How often are there new Starlit puzzles to print?

Every day. Starlit gets a new daily puzzle at midnight, so the sheets for the last seven days change each morning. The practice pack stays the same.
