Evenly is our daily binary puzzle, the kind also sold as Takuzu or Binairo. On paper you draw a circle for a light tile and fill a square for a dark one.

In the print dialog, choose A4 or Letter and turn off the browser's own headers and footers. Every sheet already carries the date and our address.

The rules

Every tile is light or dark. Light tiles show a circle, dark tiles a square.
Half and half. Every row and every column has as many light tiles as dark ones.
Never three alike in a row. Three light or three dark tiles may not sit side by side, across or down.
No copies. No two rows are the same, and no two columns are the same.

Every puzzle has exactly one answer, and you can always reach it by logic alone.

Solving on paper

Start with the forced pairs: two alike side by side means the tiles at both ends are the other kind. Count a line as soon as it is half full, because the rest of it is then decided.

Questions

Can I copy these for my class or club?

Yes. Print and photocopy as many as you like for your home, classroom, library or puzzle club, free of charge. Please keep the logicsnack.com line on each page, and don't sell the sheets.

Where are the answers?

On the last pages of each pack, numbered like the puzzles, 12 to a page. If you want to solve first, print the puzzle pages only: the print dialog lets you choose pages.

A4 or Letter?

Both. The sheets are sized to fit either paper, so you only choose it in the print dialog. Two puzzles per page gives bigger boards for young solvers; four saves paper.

Is there a PDF to download?

There's no file to download. Press Print and your browser lays out the pages. To keep a PDF, pick "Save as PDF" as the printer in the same dialog.

How often are there new Evenly puzzles to print?

Every day. Evenly gets a new daily puzzle at midnight, so the sheets for the last seven days change each morning. The practice pack stays the same.
